Indian tourists who aspire to visit Japan’s Sakura, France’s Mont Blanc or Malaysia’s Pahang are now visiting Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, Shillong in Meghalaya and Gurudongmar Lake in Sikkim.  Not only is the cost of visiting these places less, the feel is also like foreign destinations.  The crowd of tourists has increased after fresh snowfall in Spiti Valley, which is called the cold desert.  Right now the temperature here is 1℃.  It will decrease further in the next few days.

After Corona, a new trend has also been seen that in the websites which are giving the option of ‘Buy Now Pay Later’, the booking has increased by 25%.  Most tourists are going to Jammu and Kashmir.  By the first week of October this year, 1.62 crore tourists have reached there.  This has happened for the first time in 75 years of independence.  Even before Diwali, the process of visiting the tourist had started.  According to experts, it will be at its peak in December-January.

Experts from the online travel agencies industry had a panel discussion in September.  In it, a new trend of leveraging your weekends i.e. traveling during the week’s holidays came to the fore.  Since Corona, people are going for long weekends instead of staying at home.  The maximum growth in booking is visible only on long weekends.

One trend is ‘revenge travelling’.  Although it started from last year itself.  In the two years of Corona, people were trapped in their homes.  After that he wanted to go anywhere for a walk.  Jyoti Malay, president of the Travel Agents Association of India, says that since Corona, people are exploring such places in the country, which were hidden till now.  Tourists are giving importance to these locations as compared to foreign destinations.  The cost is also less in this and the experience is also like traveling abroad.

Buy Now Pay Later ie ‘Ghoom first, give money later’ facility has increased traveling further.  In this scheme, loans are being given to travelers to travel through the travel website or any loan provider.  The loan amount has to be repaid later through installments.  Many websites are also offering the option of No Cost EMI.  Payment will continue to be deducted automatically from your bank account.
