Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has given an absurd statement.  He has accused the International Cricket Council of favoring India.  Afridi said that the ICC is trying to take India to the semi-finals.  Afridi’s statement came after the India vs Bangladesh match.  In this match, Team India defeated Bangladesh by five runs under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

Referring to the India vs Bangladesh match, Afridi raised questions on the attitude of the ICC.  He said in a conversation with a Pakistani channel- You saw how wet the Adelaide ground was.  Despite this, the match was restarted.  It seemed that the ICC was supporting the Indian cricket team.  The council wants the Indian team to reach the semi-finals by any means.
